Coin of Genghis/Chinggis Khan, early 13th century. This was minted in Kunduz, Afghanistan, and has a bow-and-arrow design on the right-hand side. Mongol coins tended to look like the traditional coins of the area they were minted in – that is, the region near China got Mongol coins that had a square hole in the middle, while those in Muslim areas looked like the above.
